Deep Sea Fishing in Aruba

The seas around Aruba offer a variety of opportunities for deep sea fishing:

Most fishing is done off the southwest coast, where the water is calmer than on the north and east coasts of Aruba.

As soon as you leave the harbor you will be in depths from 150 to 600ft. Most fish are caught here year around. Species available are Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Kingfish, Albacore, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna and other fun-fish. Marlin are also frequently caught in these areas. Peak season for sailfish runs during migration from September through November. We practice catch and release for all billfish.

In our “winter” months large schools of Wahoo can be found on the windward side North and East drop-offs. This is also the area that the experienced angler will go after Marlin on the longer trips in deep water offshore.

With a stable climate and predictable weather conditions Aruba is a great place to get out on the water and test your skills and there are few better ways to appreciate Aruba’s coastal scenery than from the flybridge of Hatts Off.
